Raynauds Phenomenon

The picture above shows a typical case of Raynaud's phenomenon, which is a disorder that affects the blood vessels of the hands and feet.  Typical presentation of this disorder are vessel spasms in the fingers and toes that cause pain, numbness, tingling along with the color changes of the digits.  Raynaud's typically flares up especially with colder weather or if a patient is highly stressed.  These symptoms are a result of a lack of bloodflow to these areas and even can turn bluish in color, meaning a lack of oxygen is present in that blood.
Current treatment for Raynaud's phenomenon can be frustrating for those suffering with this condition.  They are told to wear warmer clothes, take medications to relax the blood vessels, pain medications, and eventually have surgery.  Chiropractors can offer a gentle, safe, effective, non-invasive treatment for these patients!  As recent as January of 2018, a case report involving a 29 year old female who has had Raynaud's for over 11 years was published with astounding results.  She received chiropractic care and within 2 weeks started seeing massive improvements in her symptoms.  It was reported that as the subluxations were removed from her nervous symptoms by adjusting the neck and spine, as well as extremity adjustments, the brain was able to properly restore function to the nervous system.  This then led to relief of symptoms, and proper blood flow to the hands and feet were restored.  This patient will likely not need medications to live her life pain free!  Our office can help with Raynaud's phenomenon!
